Forest Walks Lodge was recently voted one of the best small hotels in Australia at an affordable price. It offers simple luxury in a magnificent setting and free wifi internet. All meals are offered in-house using local and organic ingredients where possible. Special diets catered for. We offer a complete package of guided walks, fine food and wine. Each room has an ensuite bathroom, two with deep baths. The rooms are tastefully designed and feature the work of local artists on the walls and floor.

This accommodation is ideally located for both a relaxing Tasmanian holiday as well as an active one. From the door you have immediate access to spectacular wild forests and walking tracks in the surrounding mountains and World Heritage Area. For relaxation you can sit and watch the clouds chase themselves across the sky and the birds feed in the surrounding bushes.

Internet access is available, as well as a fixed line phone. Mobile phone coverage is erratic but texting with a Telstra mobile is possible. We can cater for small meetings and intimate business planning sessions.

Getting There
Forest Walks Lodge is approximately one hour by car from the Devonport ferry terminal and Launceston airport. From either direction exit the Bass Highway into Deloraine and take the Mountain Lakes Road (A5) along the river towards Meander.

After travelling 6km from Deloraine take the Meander Road (C167) and when you reach the Meander township sign turn left. Take the next turn right onto Jackeys Marsh Road. Forest Walks Lodge is signposted from this point so just follow the signs.

Parking Info
There is plenty of car parking space available. The last 6km of road into the accommodation is a well maintained gravel road.
