Only 40 minutes South of Hobart, 15 minutes south of Huonville and nestled in the Huon Valley, Donalea is a 1920's double brick character home that boasts stunning river views, beautiful cottage gardens and luxurious facilities.
Privacy and personal service is assured, with only two ensuite guest rooms, separate tea room , large guest lounge and private entrance.
Both rooms are large with spacious ensuites (1 spa bath), TV/Video, electric blankets, hair dryers, clock radios and heating.
Why stay in your room? Your guest lounge awaits with open fire, extensive DVD/Video/Cd collection, board games, magazines or perhaps just admire the magnificent views.
If you would like to eat in, there is a gas barbecue available onsite as well as a microwave and crockery for guest use.
When you rise in the morning, we treat you to a choice of 3 home-made breads (white,wholemeal & raisin), cereals, fruit juice, pikelets and mouth watering blackberry muffins.
Located in the heart of the Huon Valley and among the apple orchards, we are close to the Tahune Airwalk, Hastings Caves, Huon Jet Boat Rides, and South West National Parks.
Donalea really is a private country retreat, a garden lovers delight and a perfect place to unwind, relax and enjoy all the Huon Valley has to offer. We (Don & Leanne) cannot guarantee you warm weather, but a warm welcome is always assured.

Complete privacy with over 10 squares of living space. Awake to superb views of the Huon River in the master bedroom. Breakfast provisions are provided for the first morning of your stay, which you can enjoy on your verandah surrounded by beautiful cottage gardens.Two bedrooms with one Queen bed & one double bed. Large bathroom with deep bath and separate shower. Kitchenette has microwave, bake& grill,electric frypan, large fridge and washing machine provided with own personal washing line. An outside gas barbecue is also available for guest use.
River View Apartment is modern living in a very peaceful country property and perfect for group bookings and as a base for exploring the Huon Valley.

Getting There
Castle Forbes Bay is 14km south of Huonville or 45 minutes south of Hobart. Located in Crowthers Road and well signposted. Also, ten minutes from Geeveston, the gateway to the southwest National Parks and Tahune Airwalk.
