DenMar Estate is located in the popular Hermitage Road area of Pokolbin in the Hunter Valley, Australia's oldest wine growing region. It is a 25 acre property with 10 acres of premium vineyard plantigs and two luxury 2-bedroom self-contained Villas overlooking the vineyard with spectacular views of the Brokenback Mountains. The Villas are near new and 4.5 star Self rated (many would say 5 star).
The Villas both have 2-queen bedrooms, each with a spacious en-suite including spa bath and separate shower, a modern and stylish living area with stone benchtop in kitchen area, dining area and lounge area with modern corner lounge. Each Villa has its own veranda with a gas BBQ and outdoor furniture. Full breakfast provisions for a gourmet cooked breakfast are provided daily plus a bottle of wine, a cheese plate and chocolates on arrival for guests staying 2 nights or more. We also offer a free narrated tour of vineyard by owner for guests staying 2 nights or more. There is a Cafe and Cellar Door on-site. We offer private wine tasting for guests in the Cellar Door with 10% off wine purchases. Hermitage Road is the more peaceful part of Pokolbin with an abundance of wildlife including Kangaroos. In the evening sit on your private veranda with a glass of our award winning wine and watch the spectacular sunset. There are a number of fine dining restaurants in close proximity and many of the best boutique wineries including DenMar Estate can be found in or around Hermitage Road. You won't be disappointed!
NB: Villas are most suited to adult couples, however we will take babies and small infants with parents bringing their own Porta-cot.

Getting There
From Sydney cross over the Harbour Bridge and follow the Pacific Highway, until you get to Wahroonga. You will then follow the signs to the F3 Freeway towards Newcastle, you will spend about 1hr & 10mins on the freeway before you see the Cessnock/Kurri Kurri exit, take this exit and turn left at the end of the exit road and follow the signs to Cessnock, it is approximately 14 kms of winding road and over a mountain pass from the Freeway until you need to take a left turn towards Cessnock this is Lake Road and another 14kms until you get to Cessnock. At the traffic lights at the bottom of the hill as you enter the retail area of Cessnock turn right through the main street of Cessnock (Vincent Street) and at the traffic lights at the very end of Vincent Street turn left then immediately right, this will lead you into Allendale Road which becomes Wine Country Drive. After you leave Cessnock you will enter Nulkaba and pass the Visitor Centre on the left and Crown Plaza Hotel on the right, and shortly after there is a left turn into Broke Road, travel to the end of Broke Road and turn left and immediately right this is the continuation of Broke Road. You will pass the Hunter Valley gardens and Harrigans Irish Pub on the left and various wineries just after you pass Oakvale Winery on the left and Glandore Winery on the right there is a right turn into Hermitage Road.

DenMar Estate is approximately 8kms along Hermitage Road on the right hand side, and approximately 750metres after Vineyards Estate and Restaurant Botanica, which is also on the right, our Cellar Door is the first building on the left and is also our reception area.

From Newcastle Airport, exit the airport on Williamtown Drive and when you get to the end turn right, at the next roundabout take the right turn which should be Cabbage Tree Drive which leads into Tomago Road, this will take you to the Pacific Highway where you need to turn left. Move over to the right hand lane and after you cross the bridge turn right. This is the New England Highway to Maitland you keep on this road for some 40 kms ignoring the Freeway sign to Sydney, you will travel through Beresfield, Thornton, East Maitland, Maitland, Rutherford, Lochinvar, Greta & Branxton, approximately 5kms north of Branxton you will see a sign which says 'Vineyards' and a left hand turn, this is Hermitage Road (there are other Vineyard signs before this so ignore them) take this turn and go over the railway crossing and we are exactly 4.79 kms from the Highway on the left hand side. You will see the sign with our logo and the street number. Come to the Cellar Door which is the first building and also the Reception Area.
