Overview
Cornwall Cottage is situated 8 minutes from the airport and the historic town of Richmond and fourteen minutes from the Hobart city centre.

The cottage has two bedrooms beautifully furnished with antique iron beds fitted with electric blankets, feather doonas plus extra blankets.

The cosy sitting room features a panel heater for winter warmth, a DVD and book library, games,plus a dining area overlooking the Coal River Valley and Barilla Bay.

There are several places to eat located nearby which can provide excellent lunches, morning and afternoon teas and evening meals. Wine tastings are available at several wineries located in the Coal River Valley or guests can purchase our award winning Pinot wine made from grapes grown in our vineyard.

It is an ideal base to take in the attractions the South offers such as Mona Museum, Port Arthur, Tahune Airwalk, Cadbury Factory, Salamanca Market, Mount Wellington and the Hobart CBD.

Having been established in 2003 Cornwall Cottage receives many repeat guests plus visits from their friends and families. Children can assist in feeding the hens and in season can pick berry fruits or other fruit grown on the 40 acre property.

Cornwall Cottage has won Tourism Tasmanias' Peoples Choice Award twice and was a finalist in the Tourism Tasmania Awards in 2010.
