Relax and enjoy the natural beauty of Christmas Creek Recreation Centre with its spectacular mountain views, natural rock pools and abundant native wildlife.
Wake up to the low drone and constant murmur of the babbling creek, delicately frolicking in the background; peppered with the whip crack cry of the Eastern Whip-bird, the repeated cries of the Crimson Rosella and the enchanting voice of the Golden Whistler. Delight in the often heard melodies and warbles of the native bird-life surrounding the centre. Be quick to spot the shy and reclusive Brush-tailed Rock Wallaby nearby.

We are situated in the picturesque foothills of the Lamington National Park. We are situated 42km south west of Beaudesert in the tranquil and scenic valley of Christmas Creek.The centre is 90 minutes from the Gold Coast and Brisbane.
We offer comfortable family & group accommodation with a focus on connecting with the natural environment through outdoor activity, the arts and food.
You'll find our style of accommodation bundled with our diverse range of activities unique. For the budget-conscious we have shared kitchen facilities for guests who wish to self-cater! We also have on-site menu packages for those who don't want to take advantage of self-catering. You can make a booking for any of our meals on-site or prior to your arrival with us.

The activities are tailored to suit the needs of the group and the individual, but generally focus on leadership skills, team building, and self-achievement, getting active and having lots of fun.

We offer dormitory style accommodation for 74 guests in a total of seven cabins.
We have five individual cabins clustered together which can accommodate a maximum of 11 guests in single bunk beds per room. All are joined with a covered walkway. NO LINEN SUPPLIED.
Binstead Cabin can accommodate up to 10 guest. This cabin contains one new Queen size bed & 3 sets of bunk beds. All linen supplied.
Westray Cabin can accommodate up to 6 guests. This cabin is divided into two rooms and contains one new Queen size Bed & two sets of bunk beds. All Linen supplied. Own Kitchenette.
There are shared amenities with separate male and female areas.
Laundry room available for guests.
The dining hall is fully equipped with TV, DVD/Video player, DVDs and videos, CD player and CDs, a book case full of books, board games and two table tennis tables. The hall can seat approximately 100 people. The lower level may be used as a dance floor.
Shared Kitchen:
Two BBQ's, electric hotplate, jug, toaster, microwave, fridges, crockery, cutlery, picnic tables and chairs.
Outdoor satelite TV, movie channel & movies.
Sporting: Floodlit courts for tennis, volleyball, basketball and netball. The courts are free to utilize, however to access floodlights at night a fee will be incurred. These are common areas. Times are allocated to accommodate all campers.
You can bring your own linen or you can hire the linen through us at standard rates.
We will not compromise comfort or quality. You'll also find our meals are generous, hearty and healthy portions perfect to replenish mind, body and soul after the day's activities.

Business Facilities
Christmas Creek Recreation Centre is the perfect venue for small conferences, meetings and team initiatives. We are also available for small band/orchestral ensemble camps or rehearsals. With our 20mx60m split level dining room we are perfect for art and craft workshops and weekend getaways. To assist your meetings or workshops a data projector or whiteboard can be hired for an additional cost.
Getting There
Christmas Creek Recreation Centre is located approximately 42km south of Beaudesert. Follow the Rathdowney turn-off from Beaudesert along the Mt Lindesay Highway. Travel for 13km to Laravale, veer left off the highway and follow the Christmas Creek Road for 27km. The centre is 90 minutes from the Gold Coast and Brisbane airports. Take in our one hour scenic drive to get to all the THEME PARKS. The centre is located next to the Stinson Memorial Park and Lamington National Park.
