Chifley Apartments Newcastle is AAA rated 4.5 Star and offers a modern and spacious alternative to traditional hotel accommodation. Our and one two bedroom apartments are fully self contained with spacious living areas and private balconies which are complemented by the hotels fully equipped gymnasium and outdoor lap pool.

Catering to guests requiring overnight stays as well as accommodation for extended periods, those additional features so often overlooked provide for a comfortable extension of home for regular travellers. Those extra touches include onsite security parking, ($18.00 overnight), DVD library, barbecue, shopping service, dry cleaning, and restaurant chargeback at local restaurants.

In addition guests can enjoy our Healthy Start Breakfast served in the Lobby Lounge daily, a quiet drink in the evening or an espresso on the go.

Our apartments all feature 8 Foxtel channels, LCD televisions with DVD player and a home theatre system, high speed internet access, mini-bar, safe, phone, internal laundry including washer and dryer plus well equipped kitchen. Our staffs are always on hand to meet your needs, with the provision of 24 hour reception services.
Please note that servicing of apartments is carried out on the morning of the fourth day of stay and then again on the seventh day of stay. Daily or more frequent servicing can be arranged however additional charges may apply. Please speak with Reception on arrival for more information.

Getting There
The closest international airport to the hotel is the Sydney International Airport, Mascot, which has domestic transfer flights to either Newcastle Airport (Williamtown) with Jet Star.

Directions by car from:
Sydney International Airport, Mascot - Take the F3 Highway following the North Coast/Newcastle signs. Take the Wallsend Exit off the F3 and follow the signs to the city centre. Turn left at Union Street, right at Hunter Street, left into Merewether Street, left into Workshop Way, then at roundabout turn left into Wright Lane. Approximate distance and time to the hotel is 160km and two hours.

Newcastle Airport (Willamtown) - Drive south along Nelson Bay Road following the signs to Newcastle, crossing over Stockton Bridge into Teal Street. Turn right into Cormorant Road and left into Tourle Street. Next turn left again into Industrial Drive. Follow this road and signs to Newcastle city centre, turn left into Hunter Street, left again into Merewether Street, left into Workshop Way, then at roundabout turn left into Wright Lane. Approximate distance and time to the hotel is 30km and 20 minutes.

Directions by Train from:
Sydney International Airport, Mascot - Move towards the train depot and catch any train that stops at Central Railway Station. Once at Central change trains to the Newcastle Hunter Line. The closest stop to the hotel is Civic Station. Once exiting the station, turn left into Wright Lane and the hotel is a 250metre walk. Approximate travel time is three hours.

Coach transfers are available from Newcastle Airport (Williamtown) with Port Stephens Coach Company. Approximate travel time is 30 minutes.
