The Chaparral Motel is situated in the beautiful town of Ballina along the Byron/Ballina Coastline. Many of our guests find staying with us and doing day trips to the surrounding attractions of Byron Bay, Nimbin, Lennox Head, etc is the most cost efficient way to go, as we offer reasonable competitive rates all year round

We have 18 very comfortable units (all with allocated undercover parking on site)

We cater for all budgets, providing Standard & Budget rooms (high 3 star standard) & Deluxe rooms (4 star standard) - ALL of our rooms have an ensuite bathroom, airconditioning, ceiling fans & new large screen (32") digital TV's with free Austar.

Our FREE WiFi service is very popular with all of our travellers and corporates

We are located 2 doors from The Westower Family Tavern, Thai Restaurant, Fresh & Cooked Seafood and our local Shopping Centre (which has supermarket, newsagent, pharmacy, butcher, bait shop and more..., there is very little need to get in the car again during your stay if you are looking for a relaxing total "Getaway". Even McDonalds is only 500 metres away! With the township now bypassed, you are assured of a good night's sleep with the trucks now out on the re-routed highway

The brand new saltwater pool and outdoor tables & benches prove most popular with our guests for picnics or BBQs under the beautiful shady gum trees

Although surrounded by restaurants & takeaways, we still offer in-room dining for meals & snacks. Breakfast/lunch/tea - 7 days a week

Our rooms are strictly non-smoking, but upstairs we have outdoor settings & ashtrays out side each room, and downstairs we have outdoor settings under the trees near the pool, undercover & at the end of the units. When booking, we like to know if you are a smoker, so we can place you close to these settings for your convenience and pleasure.

We are only 7 minutes from the airport, so if you require a drop off or pick up, please contact us regarding times. The local bus stop is next door & local buses can take you to where the major coach tours drop off & pick up (some do use McDonalds as a pick up point) - once again, as per with our air travellers, we provide a drop off or pick-up service for those travelling on coaches

Getting There
Located on the Sydney side of Ballina, and only a couple of minutes drive to/from the bypass entry/exit - if travelling south from Brisbane or Gold Coast areas, take the 2nd Ballina Exit - if travelling north from Sydney or Coffs Harbour areas, turn right at the roundabout exit into Ballina - we are the first motel on your right coming in off the By-pass (beside the Shopping Centre and midway between The Big Prawn Complex & McDonalds Restaurant)
