Overview
Cavvanbah is nestled on the doorstep of one of the world’s most enchanting beaches and eclectic towns, Byron Bay.
The property has been recently completed in April 2012, offering three separate pavilions and one apartment, designed with privacy in mind.
Local climate supports outdoor living and Cavvanbah maximises this by offering guests generous outdoor living spaces and spectacular open air outdoor Bali baths, exclusively provided for guests private use.
A short stroll along the beach or by foot path, will lead you to the vibrant Byron Bay town centre, where you can indulge in all that Byron has to offer.
Cafe's, restaurants, boutique shops and entertainment are all within arms reach. There are Byron monthly markets, held on every 1st Sunday, and weekly farmers markets which showcase and sample the finest of local produce and talent.
The iconic Beach Hotel is just a 5 minute beach walk away. Enjoy great live entertainment, a meal from the bistro or a divine coffee as you admire the spectacular coastal outlook.
Direct beach access from Cavvanbah, through the dunes will take you to the stunning beach of the Wreck, a surf break and dive spot created in 1921 by the ship wreck SS Wollongbar. The wreck attracts a diverse array of marine life such as turtles, sub tropical fish and dolphins which are regularly seen close to the beach. Snorkelling is very popular at the Wreck as it’s only a short swim from shore.
The North facing orientation of this majestic stretch of beach offers breathtaking sunsets over Mt Warning and the majestic Byron Hinterland .
Cavvanbah is the original name of Byron Bay. It is an aboriginal word that means, ‘the meeting place’. The name changed in 1894 with the introduction of the railway, which ceased operation in 2004.
We hope that you choose Cavvanbah to be your meeting place.
