Situated a pleasant 5 minute walk from Strahan town centre and harbour, Castaway offers modern, spacious apartments which give you the option of full self catering.
You can choose an apartment with Queen bed and twin share all with electric blankets, or our Family Apartment, that offers Queen Bed and four bunk beds for the larger family.
Full kitchen facilities cater for all your cooking requirements.

There is a guest laundry, barbeque area and ample safe off street parking at your front door.

Castaway is a perfect base from which you can explore the many local attractions which include The magnificient Macquarie Harbour and Gordon River Cruise, which includes buffet lunch and Sarah Island tour.
Take a "Steam Train" trip through the rainforest to Queenstown, travelling the unique ABT Rail System.
Explore the rainforest, and find the hidden Hogarth Falls, in the "Peoples Park"
When in Strahan a "Must Do" for young and old is a visit to the Strahan Amphitheatre, located next to the Visitor Centre, for "The Ship That Never Was" play. The dramatic and hilarious, true story, of the convict escape from Sarah Island to South America.
Or just simply relax and enjoy the peace and quiet, that is Strahan.

Getting There
Entering Strahan from Queenstown, turn right at T-junction. Castaway is located 100 metres
on right hand side of Harvey Street.
Entering Strahan from Zeehan, turn left at roundabout, Castaway is located 600 metres on left hand side of Harvey Street.
Comfortable driving times to Strahan, with a stop, are as follows:
Devonport Ferry Terminal 3.5 hrs.
Launceston Airport 4.5 hrs.
Hobart Airport 5 hrs.
Cradle Mountain 2 hrs.
