Whilst lingering over a hearty country breakfast, absorb the spectacular views of the Wollombi Valley from the verandah. You won’t believe that this quiet, beautiful location is only 2 hours from Sydney.

Originally a building in Macquarie St, Sydney, the convict hewn sandstone blocks were dismantled and transported to Wollombi to create this unique Hunter Valley guesthouse.

Owners Jane and Michael Young are dedicated to providing the finest in country accommodation.

Each guest room has been individually designed and luxuriously furnished with casual elegance. There is comfortable outdoor furniture for relaxing on your own private verandah or garden courtyard so that you may spend hours absorbing the delights of the countryside.

The guesthouse includes six spacious guest rooms. There are 3 spa suites and 3 garden suites, each feature:

Getting There
From Sydney: take the Pacific Highway heading north to Wahroonga & join the Freeway to Newcastle. After approx 20 minutes take the Wollombi exit onto Tourist Route 33 at the Calga Interchange and follow the signs to Wollombi through Peats Ridge, Central Mangrove, Kulnura, Bucketty and Laguna. This drive will take approximately 55 minutes.

At Wollombi, turn right for Cessnock at the Tavern. Capers is 400 metres along this road on the right hand side.

From Newcastle and North: Take the New England Highway west and follow signs to Cessnock. At Cessnock continue straight on Wollombi Road and follow the signs to Wollombi. Capers is on the left close to the school as you enter Wollombi.
