Overview
Cape Otway Cottages is located 25 MINUTES DRIVE WEST OF APOLLO BAY, on about 60 acres of land which has lots of trees and very similar native plants and animals to the beautiful Otway National Park surrounding it and all of our individual cottages are very private and secluded, being at least 3/400 metres apart from each other.

Close by is the spectacular Aire River estuary with its lovely sandy beaches and dunes, this beautiful spot also being a major step on/off point for the fantastic Great Ocean Walk - the new long distance walking track between Apollo Bay and the Twelve Apostles.

The individually sited Spa Studio Cottages on our property are each placed in their own different environments.
MoonRise Cottage is in a beautiful eucalypt glade with some quite large trees and a magical native background surrounding the cottage, as well as glimpses of the Otway foothills through the bush.
MoonLight Cottage has the most open view of our studios and is nestled into the stringy barks and grasstrees with a fantastic vista out across the Otway Ranges.
GrassTrees Cottage is set high up on a stringy bark rise with clumps of grasstrees as well as interesting gnarled looking eucalypts, placing the cottage in a very private enchanted forest setting.

The Spa studios all have a large sunken corner Spa bath near the Wood Fire, electric heating and air-conditioning, a King-size Bed, large couch, Colour TV with good quality free-to-air satellite TV reception, DVD and Video interlinked to the CD Stereo system with wall-mounted speakers and a separate bathroom with a large shower, double vanity, toilet and washing machine.

A wide deck runs along two sides of each cottage and features BBQ facilities and outdoor furniture.

The Stone Cottage features two King bedrooms (either convertible to twin share as required), large lounge with Wood Fire, electric heating and air-conditioning, armchair and two big couches including a Queen Sofa bed with innerspring mattress.

There are full kitchen facilities and a bathroom with a large corner Spa bath, separate shower, separate toilet, vanity and laundry.

Entertainment facilities include Colour TV with excellent free-to-air satellite TV reception, DVD and Video interlinked to the CD Stereo system with wall-mounted speakers.

The Stone Cottage has the most open view of all the individual cottages and backs into the bush with a huge deck out the front offering amazing views of the western Otway Ranges and Aire River sand dunes, with outdoor furniture, a large gas BBQ and an extensive lawned area at the front of the cottage.

All of our cottages are fully self-contained with a well-equipped kitchen, including a full size stove, microwave, fridge/freezer and breadmaker and we supply breadmix and other complimentary Continental Breakfast provisions for the start of your holiday. This includes good quality coffee and a full range of Twinings teas. We also provide fresh flowers and candles, personal amenities, soaps and all of your linen, towels etc.

Dogs are very welcome inside at Cape Otway Cottages and we provide a comfy doggie bed next to the Wood Fire for our canine guests, plus towels to wipe muddy paws, silver service bowls and special treats on arrival. So any four-legged travelling companions would really feel like they were in Doggie Heaven.

Our cottages have received the National “Five Paw Award” from ‘Life. Be in it’ for the best dog-friendly accommodation in Australia (as well as the Victorian Award), so you can be sure that four-legged visitors are very welcome here indeed.
With our cottages being on a fairly large acreage and set well apart from each other, dogs can really be dogs here - with a high degree of freedom to explore.

All of our cottages have very spacious decks for canines (and humans) to hang out on and a secure area for doggies if needed. MoonRise and GrassTrees Cottages have sheltered decks with stainless wiring and gates at the entrances, MoonLight Cottage has a protected doggie yard with a high fence and huge kennel which is accessed via a gate off the deck and the Stone Cottage has a secure fenced area under the carport.

Most doggies stick to their owners like glue so this may not be an issue for you, however if dogs are inclined to wander there is a safe outdoor area at each cottage, or of course inside the cottage with you. Then when you go out together for a walk, there is all the freedom in the world to go off-lead.
