Overview
Bungalow Bay Koala Village is an architecturally designed, island style village nestled in World Heritage listed National Park with private and individual A-frame bungalows. Bungalow Bay has an open air bar, resort pool and spa, plus it has the advantage of eight acres to relax and enjoy the wildlife. Only four minutes walk from the beach and village of Horseshoe Bay, the resort boasts a stunning location with all activities accessible from our front door. Bungalow Bay Koala Village was voted best backpacker accommodation at the Australian Tourism Awards 2007.

While you’re here, why not hold a crocodile, koala and snake at the on-site wildlife sanctuary during your stay or enjoy a champagne bush tucker breakfast with the koalas. Bungalow Bay has its very own koala sanctuary on-site, allowing guests to experience and interact with koalas, crocodiles and snakes. Three daily interactive tours are held at 10:00am, 12:00pm and 2:30pm, which also include a guided bush walk in the surrounding habitats of wetlands, pandanus and melaleuca forest.

Getting There
There are 17 daily ferry services to Magnetic Island - once you have arrived to the isalnd ferry terminal a public bus will drop you at our front door.

If arriving by plane to Townsville: it's just a 15 minute taxi or shuttle bus trip to Sunferries terminal in the CBD.

By Greyhound Bus: All services stop at Sunferries Townsville which is your connection to Magnetic Island by ferry.
