Our flight transfer leaves from Hinterland Aviation at Cairns Airport at 9.00am each morning with guests arriving at the Lodge around 10.45am. On departure guests leave the Lodge at 9.00am, arriving back into Cairns at approx 11.00am.

Business Facilities
Although we do not have dedicated conference and business facilities at Bloomfield lodge, we can accommodate small, informal meetings for up to 12 delegates in casual seating in the Endeavour Room.

Getting There

The 2 hour journey from Cairns to Bloomfield is in itself a thrilling experience. It begins with a complimentary transfer from guests Cairns or Northern Beaches accommodation to our VIP lounge at the Hinterland Aviation Terminal, looking out over the International Airport.

A 35 minute scenic flight follows the Queensland coastline with the fringing reefs and tiny islands of the Coral Sea to the right and the untouched wilderness of the Daintree Rainforest to the left.

Landing on an outback airstrip, guests are met by Bloomfield's friendly staff and escorted on a short trip by unsealed road to the banks of the Bloomfield River. From here, our launch cruises downriver to the sea and across Weary Bay to Bloomfield Lodge, nestling almost unseen in the rainforest.

The final touch in this unique little adventure comes as the boat lets down wheels and is pulled ashore for the driest of landings and a cooling drink, whilst the magic of Bloomfield takes over.

Parking Info
Transfers from Cairns are included in package, however some guests do wish to self-drive to the region. We can offer complimentary parking in our vehicle sheds on the northern side of the Bloomfield River, boat transfers can be arranged from there. From Cape Tribulation a 4WD is required to complete the journey, however please be aware that the coast road can become impassable, even in a 4WD, in wet weather.
