Getting There
BIG4 Atherton Woodlands Tourist Park is situated on the Atherton Tablelands which is approximately 100kms or a 90 minute drive from Cairns Airport. Car Hire is available at both the domestic and international airports. When exiting the airport turn right and follow all signs to Kuranda. Once on the Kuranda Range, it is an easy drive on the Kennedy Highway, following signs to Mareeba & Atherton. At the last T intersection, turn left to Atherton and follow this road all the way in to the Main Street of Atherton. Continue through Main Street to the last round about and drive through. Main Street becomes Herberton Road. The Post Office will be on your left hand side. Woodlands Tourist Park is 1.5km's from the Post Office on the right hand side of the road.
For those guests travelling from Cooktown on the Peninsula Highway & Port Douglas on the Rex Range, follow the signs to Mareeba and then onto Atherton. For those guests travelling from the South, such as Mission Beach & Innisfail and taking the East Palmerston Highway, follow the signs to the Kennedy Highway to Atherton. At the Atherton Post Office, turn left.
Taxis are available in Atherton for local travel.
