Overview
The Best Western Motel Farrington is a comfortable three and half star country motel located in a quiet off street location but within close walking distance to shops, clubs & CBD. Hosts Graham & Gail specialize in offering their quests quality accommodation in a friendly relaxed atmosphere. With 25 comfortable units (9 upstairs & 16 ground floor) the Motel Farrington is an ideal home base for your next visit to the Snowy Mountains region.

All our rooms are fully equipted with separate ensuites with hairdryers, quality Best Western bathroom products and great showers.

For your entertainment, direct dial phones, internet access points, radios, colour televisions (with remotes) & 11 channels of free cable TV (Austar) are provided in all units. Video machines are also available for hire.

For your comfort there is airconditioning & heating in all units as well as ceiling fans for those who don't like airconditioning!. Electric blankets are on all beds and extra blankets and separate heaters also available if requested.

For your eating pleasure - an excellent country style room service menu is available for those who want to eat in. Or you can charge back to your room when you eat out at one of our local restaurants. Tea & coffee making facilities are provided in all units and great country-style BUFFET breakfasts are our speciality.

Cool down in our salt water pool and cook yourself a BBQ. Guest towels and BBQ tools are available from reception.

Getting There
Tumut (at the foot of the Snowy Mountains-on the western side!!) is half way between Sydney and Melbourne and just 20 minutes from the Hume Highway. Coming from Sydney, turn at South Gundagai or coming from Melbourne, take the Snowy Mountains Highway through Adelong.

By Train - Travel to Cootamundra and take the State Rail Coach to Tumut.
By Coach - Travel to Gundagai and pick up the State Rail Bus at the Gundagai Information Centre to Tumut.

Tumut is located 190 kms from Canberra, 400kms from Sydney, 500kms from Melbourne and 100kms from Wagga Wagga.

Distance from the Airport - From Tumut, it is a 60 minute drive on excellent roads to Wagga Wagga Airport. Regularly scheduled flights from Wagga Wagga takes 20 minutes to Canberra, 60 minutes to Sydney and 45 minutes to Melbourne.

Avis car rentals are available at Wagga Airport.

Private and light charter aircrafts are welcome to use the Tumut aerodrome.
