Getting to Beechworth: Driving to Beechworth is a comfortable three hours north of Melbourne, 4? hours south of Canberra and seven hours from Sydney. It is accessed via Melbourne to Sydney's major highway the Hume Freeway and then turning off at Wangaratta (South) or Wodonga (North) for the last 25 to 30 minutes.
Finding Lake Sambell Caravan Park: From Melbourne turn right at the Post Office into Camp Street, then turn left into High Street. Follow High Street until you see the Beechworth Primary School on your left. At this intersection turn right into Peach Drive. Follow the road around to the caravan park.
From Albury follow Sydney road to the sweeping bend near the Beechworth Primary School. Turn left into Junction Road and cross the next intersection into Peach Drive. Follow Peach Drive until you reach the caravan park.
One car per site is allowed. Any additional vehicles must be approved by management before entering property, and parked in the designated visitor's car park. All visitors must proceed to reception to register upon arrival.
