Overview
Bay View Holiday Village has a variety of accommodation options for travellers.Including 6 new cabins in Dec 2010, and extensive renovations on others, Our large family cabins accommodate up to five people, the double cabins accommodate up to four people and offer comfort and privacy and our one bedroom cabins offer an intimate setting for couples . The cabins are fully insulated and heated, are modern in design and very clean. They are tastefully fitted out with comfortable beds, flat screen television, microwave oven, fridge and cooking utensils.

Bay View Holiday Village is within easy travelling distance of Launceston, Cradle Mountain, Stanley, Gunns plains caves, Leven canyon and the famous murals of Sheffield, as well as Devonport itself, with the Don River Railway Train Museum, and we are only four minutes? drive from the Spirit of Tasmania.

Wake to a view of the Mersey River entering Bass Strait - the oceanfront is at your front door,a great ocean front walking and cycling track around to the ferry across the Mersey. After breakfast head out to explore the local attractions. In Devonport there's the Tiagarra Aboriginal Museum, Home Hill (home of Joseph and Enid Lyons, just as they left it), the Devonport Gallery and Arts Centre,great coffee shops and restaurants the Maritime Museum.

A short drive away you can take a steam train ride on the historic Don River Railway. Further afield paddle a canoe on Lake Barrington, visit Sheffield the town of murals (around 47 murals), the limestone caves at Mole Creek, or day trip to Cradle Mountain and do one of the many bushwalks in this world heritage area.

While you're out buy local cheese, fish, fruit, cream and wine for a relaxed dinner in your cabin, or you might light to try some local fare at one of Devonport's many fine restaurants.

Getting There
Bay View Holiday Village is only four minutes drive from the Spirit of Tasmania Ferry Terminal. Go straight out of the terminal, turn left onto Tarleton St and the turn right at the service station onto Brooke St. Take the next left onto Nth Caroline St and follow this to the waterfront at the end of the street.
