Overview
Barrington River Hideaway has 4 fully self contained cabins with all the mod cons. Each cabin has 2 bedrooms with 1 queen size bed and the other with 2 singles. Quality furniture and fittings and all linen is supplied. All cottages have a private balcony overlooking the Barrington River.
There is a fully equiped kitchen dining and lounge area. You can relax on the verandah and read a book or watch the birds at play while listening to the river.
Only 5 minutes from Gloucester - so close to all convienences and tourist information.
Set on 50 acres on the foothills of World Heritage listed Barrington Tops National Park. Walk,swim,picnic or fish along the river or try one of our tubes down the rapids.
Lookout for the resident platypus or spot native birds and plants as you stroll. Lots of adventure activities at your doorstep!

Getting There
From Sydney follow the F3 freeway to the very end at Maitland, follow the signs towards Taree, going through Hexham and Heatherbrae on the Pacific Highway. Approx 10 minutes after Heatherbrae take a left turn on to the Bucketts Way (if you miss this turn you will be in Karuah) going through Booral, Stroud (approx 1 hour) into Gloucester. Once you have reached Gloucester stay on the same road along the Main Street of Gloucester at the end there is a roundabout, turn left at the roundabout onto Thunderbolts Way, going past Turner Holden and the Bowling Club on the left. Go over the Gloucester River bridge, you are in the 60km zone. You will then go into an 80km zone, then 100km zone. Approx 1/2 km into the 100km zone on the right hand side you will see Barrington Riverside Country Retreat. Drive in the access road past the homestead and down to the cottages.We will be in touch to direct you to your cottage on arrival.
