Rod & Barry invite you to experience Barnsley House Bed & Breakfast, Beechworth's most elegant B & B, Circa 1859. Set amongst large formal gardens, our beautifully appointed Victorian/Edwardian home offers our guests a choice of five luxury retreats, all individually decorated . All retreats have ensuites, 2 have spas, and one has a claw foot bath. All have showers. All retreats have split system heating/cooling, 3 have open fires, everything required for a romantic and relaxing retreat. Individual balconies for each room offer a private retreat to sit and take in our exquisite gardens.All retreats have LCD TV/DVD's/tea & coffee, fridge,free wifi, heating/cooling and we provide treats for your pleasure!

A guest lounge area is also available offering an open fire, library, TV, CD, DVD player (with Discs), and is also fully air-conditioned and heated.
Our guest dining and conservatory area is also available to guests to relax and enjoy. The conservatory is a wonderful room in which to unwind...a stunning white curtained area with ceiling to floor glass, overlooking cool and lush gardens.You can read the daily papers or a good book, or just enjoy the gardens outside the full length windows.
Enjoy a sumptuous continental and fully cooked breakfast in the morning, accompanied by a variety of juices, a pot of tea of your choice, or a wonderful espresso coffee....latte/long black, cappuccino etc

For the energetic, the famed North-East rail trail is right outside the back gate, and we are only 6 minutes walk from the town centre, with its many attractions.
Rod & Barry are well versed in the sights and activities on offer in the region, and are happy to assist with information to help spend your time in the area.
Barnsley House is a wonderful place to relax and unwind.Sorry, this property is not suitable for infants or children. Indulge yourself!
Many people come for birthdays, anniversaries and we offer packages with restaurants etc of which you can enquire following your booking.

Getting There
3.5 hours drive from Melbourne. From Melbourne, take the Hume Freeway and then the Beechworth turnoff. In Beechworth turn right at the round about in centre of town and follow Camp Street past the famous Beechworth Bakery, taking the first right after the bridge into Harper Avenue. Turning left at the end of Harper Avenue and Barnsley House appears in front as you turn the corner. Entering town from Wodonga turn left at centre round about.
