This place has a rustic feel about it and is located in Sydneys oldest suburb, so a short bus ride or a 30 minute walk into the city centre. That said the it is pretty good value people and staff here are great fun. There are a lot of people staying and working which means you get the chance to get to know people. Stay there again? Absolutely.

I really enjoyed my stay at balmain backpackers there was an amazing frindly warm feeling to the atmosphere there, staff were very helpful.the locacation and security were also good. If u want cheap and a fab place to stay then chillax because bbs is the place to sit back relax unwind or have fun with a few good people. Also a big thanks to kristy the manager of bbs because she made my stay there awesome.

Wow, what can I say? "They have been fantastic!" The rooms & communal areas, showers etc are cleaned daily & the hot water is HOT! I broke the kettle in our area & the manageress saw the new one I bought & just re embursed me without me saying a thing. This place is so close to the city it is awesome. The guys & gals are so open & friendly it was a great atmosphere. All in all a great experience. Cheers & thanks

Getting There
We are 6 minutes by bus from Town Hall station. Catch any of the numerous buses (500-520) on George Street from Circular Quay traveling away from the city. The best bus stop is located on Druitt Street (next to the Town Hall Building) which runs down toward Darling Harbour between the Town Hall and the QVB building. Ask the driver to stop at Darling Street. We are near the corner of Victoria Road appx 100 meters from the bus stop.

Look for number 677 Darling St and press the doorbell next to the red door!

From the airport catch a private shuttle to the Sydney Town Hall and catch the buses in Druitt St (cnr Kent St) or take a taxi from the airport ($30- $40 depening on traffic).

Otherwise call us and we will give you directions from your location.

Do not catch the 433 Bus as it travels through Glebe to get here, so it takes more time.
