Perched atop a hill on 5 landscaped acres and surrounded by the rolling green hills of a 165 acre farm with spectacular views from Mt Warning to the rainforests of Springbrook Ranges, Multi Tourism Award Winning Hillcrest is located in beautiful Crystal Creek, just outside historic Murwillumbah in the Tweed Valley, Tropical Northern NSW. Just 35 minutes drive from Gold Coast airport, 75 minutes from Brisbane, 45 mins from Byron Bay and 12 mins from Murwillumbah.

Choose between 1 only romantic fully self-contained Honeymoon Spa Cottage set in its own private and secluded rainforest garden, or two B&B suites in a private guest wing of the main residence.

Catering for one couple only, Hillcrest Honeymoon Spa Cottage is set in a secluded garden for the ultimate in peace and privacy. With real wood fire in the lounge (firewood provided in winter), Hillcrest Cottage is ideal for a mid-winter romantic interlude, whilst ceiling fans and split system a/c make it comfortable for a peaceful getaway and a perfect honeymoon destination at any time of the year.

Other facilities include split system air-conditioning, stereo wide screen TV, DVD and stereo system with CD player. Separate from the lounge you'll find a QS Bedroom, huge ensuite bathroom with top of the range luxury double spa bath and separate oversize shower, heater, hairdryer, towels, pool towels, robes, candles, bubble bath and a selection of toiletries.

As well as a fully equipped kitchen with full size gas stove and microwave oven, fridge, toaster and all kitchen equipment; glass sliding doors from the lounge open to your private verandah where you?ll find your own gas BBQ, sun lounges and outside dining suite for alfresco dining.

Cottage guests can either choose to fully self cater or have their kitchen stocked with breakfast provisions, including some of our famous home-made bread and free range eggs.

The two B&B suites are located in a private guest wing of the main house, which is built in the shape of a square dough-nut around a charming central atrium with fishpond, tropical plants and resident Green Tree Frogs during the warmer months.

Both guest suites enjoy QS beds, ensuite bathrooms ~ one with luxury double spa bath, one with full size ordinary bath and both with separate showers ~ bath towels, pool towels, hairdryers, robes, candles, bubble bath and a selection of toiletries, as well as in-room tv and dvd.

Both B&B Suites have double glass sliding doors to a large verandah with table, chairs and hammock outside each room and views over rolling green hills to Mt Warning in the distance.

The private guest lounge is equipped with stereo system, book, CD and DVD library, stocked fridge and 24 hour beverage-making facilities and opens to the central atrium.

Main House B&B tariff includes port in the evenings and a full country style breakfast complete with home-made breads & preserves and home grown free-range eggs.

Hillcrest is centrally located to 5 World Heritage Listed National Parks, horse-riding, golf, joy-flights, scenic village drives, arts & crafts markets, galleries, boat excursions, Harley motor-bike tours, pristine beaches, untouched rainforest and more. We have extensive local knowledge, a wide range of tourist information on-site and will gladly help you plan the best things to see and do during your stay in our beautiful Tweed Valley.

PLEASE NOTE: There are strictly NO self-catering facilities in the main house B&B. If you wish to prepare food please book Hillcrest Cottage which has a fully equipped kitchen and gas bbq. Health and insurance regulations strictly forbid food preparation and consumption anywhere in the B&B guest wing - any "nibblies" you wish to bring with you may only be consumed on the verandah outside your room, in the garden or the gazebo by the pool if it has not been pre-booked by other guests. Only food purchased at Hillcrest may be cooked on the BBQ.

We regret but any damage caused by food preparation or consumption in B&B rooms will be charged to your account at full replacement value.

Both the Swimming Pool and pond in the main house central atrium are UNFENCED - therefore we are not insured for and so CANNOT ALLOW CHILDREN (including babies) on the property at any time - we also do not allow pets. PLEASE take this condition seriously as you will lose your money if you book expecting to bring children or animals.

All damage to or theft of Hillcrest property will be charged at full replacement cost.

Cottage subject to excess cleaning charge if necessary.

Getting There
Take the Tweed Valley Way turn off (Highway 40) off the Pacific Highway (Highway 1) to Murwillumbah.
Turn right at the Town Centre turn off at the Roundabout and drive straight through town to the give way sign at Byangum Road.
Turn left into Byangum Road and follow it out of town, you'll see a new bridge on your right (don't cross it!)
Bear left into Numbinbah Road (Tourist Route 34 to Chillingham) follow this to Upper Crystal Creek Road, turn right into Upper Crystal Creek Road (by miniature horse stud). Hillcrest is 1.67 km along Upper Crystal Creek Road on the left hand side.
Byangum Road to Numinbah Road = 6.7 km
Numinbah Road to Upper Crystal Creek Road (follow the sign to Chillingham along Tourist Route 34) = 4.5 km
Immediately past the Nursery/Miniature Horse Stud turn right into Upper Crystal Creek Road
Hillcrest is 1.67 km along the road on the left hand side.
