Araucaria is situated in Byron Bays greenest, quietest and most elite suburb of Ewingsdale, just five minutes drive from the beach and cafes of Byron and ten minutes from the heritage town of Bangalow.
Ewingsdale is Byron?s best kept secret, with substantial houses nestled amongst large established gardens in a semi rural setting. The villa is reached by driving down a country lane through subtropical rainforest pockets and is situated at the end of a cul-de-sac . The villa and pool have panoramic views to Byron, the sea and the lighthouse. It also affords stunning views to the mountains with glorious sunrises and sunsets.

The house is truly 5 plus stars. Araucaria is owned by an interior designer and her interiors photographer husband; accordingly the decor is one of comfortable sophistication and refinement. Araucaria has a southern Mediterranean design, with a definite Tuscan feel.

There is a large informal kitchen eating area and very comfortable in kitchen lounge area. There are 5 bedrooms, 3 with ensuites, and a total of 4 bathrooms .

The main upstairs bedroom has massive egg shaped bath, Juliette balconies, and beautiful decor. The romantic Luxury Pool House room has a double bed with its own marble ensuite and fantastic views to Cape Byron. The main downstairs bedroom, with Laura Ashley furnishings is air conditioned and has disabled facilities plus a balcony. The Garden and Terrace bedrooms are also located downstairs and have French doors opening onto the north facing terrace, both with double beds and fans which share a beautiful marble bathroom with balcony. There is a large Mediterranean style terrace, with a variety of sitting and eating areas where you can take in some great views of Byron.

Araucaria definitely offers a truly luxurious setting for the more discerning guest. Both Byron Bay and Bangalow offer a great selection of dining and many excellent cafes. The whole area is awash with things to do and world class white sand beaches.

Getting There
From the Pacific Hwy take the Byron Bay turnoff into Ewingsdale Rd, ignore the first immediate right hand turn and take the second turn off to the right into McGettigans Lane and continue to the end where the lane turns into Balraith Lane. We are right at the end on the right at number 210, right opposite Victorias Guest house entrance.

5 minutes by car or taxi from Byron Bay. 40 minutes from Coolangatta airport by car or shuttle bus. 30 minutes from Ballina Airport by car or shuttle bus.
