Heritage listed (circa 1840), Apartments at York Mansions offers spacious fully self-contained apartments, each with it’s own theme and luxurious décor.
All apartments have gas log fire places , antique furnishings and period décor combined with modern facilities such as flat screen televisions and free high speed internet access. At the rear of the building is a large private cottage garden, the centre piece being a heritage listed English Oak tree.
Owners, Ann and John Mitchell live on site and are committed to providing their guests with the highest level of personal service.
Apartments at York Mansions provides Launceston accommodation at the start of the Tamar Valley, renouned for it's cool climate Tamar Valley wines, Platypus House and Seahorse World. See the Tamar Valley and Cataract Gorge from the river on board Tamar River Cruises.
We are a short drive to historic properties such as Woolmers Estate, Franklin House and Entally House.
Launceston is approximately two and half hours drive to Cradle Mountain and to the Frecinet Peninsular, making an easy day trip to these destinations.

Getting There
Apartments at York Mansions is located at 9-11 York Street between George and Tamar Streets.
When approaching from the airport you will enter the City on Bathurst Street. Turn right into Elizabeth Street crossing Wellington, Charles and St. Johns Streets. At the next intersection turn left into George Street and then right into York Street. York Mansions is approximately 150 meters on your right.
