Overview
Iluka, which is Aboriginal for ‘by the sea’, is a charming coastal village at the mouth of the Clarence River, and has long been famous for fishing, with anglers from all parts of the continent converging to enjoy a region that offers some of Australia’s finest rock, beach, estuary and deep sea fishing.

For those not interested in fishing, Iluka offers long stretches of unspoiled beaches and perhaps Australia’s most easily accessible and rarest remains of rainforest. The World Heritage-listed Iluka Nature Reserve contains the largest remnant of shoreline rainforest in New South Wales. A gentle walking track meanders through the rainforest where rich vegetation and abundant bird life are observed. Emus, kangaroos, goannas, dolphins are but a few of the local wildlife.

The Anchorage Holiday Park enjoys a 4 star AAA rating and is a member of the Top Tourist Park chain, so you know the facilities and standards are first class. Although only two are listed, we have over five types of cabin accommodation, which provides for all tastes, ranging from intimate Ensuite Cabins through to luxury Spa Cabins.

The Anchorage welcomes children, with Kids Activities, Movie Nights and Fishing Competitions in school holidays. Electric scooters, skateboards and rollerblades are not permitted for use in park grounds. Bikes and non-electric scooters are permissable and trike hire is available year-round.

Although only two minutes drive from the main shopping and business centre of Iluka, The Anchorage Holiday Park’s general atmosphere is of friendly seclusion and tranquillity, with the tropical gardens combining with views of the beautiful Clarence River. Perfect for those who wish to ‘get away from it all’ or families spending quality time together.

Getting There
Iluka is located at the mouth of the Clarence River, half way between Grafton and Ballina, on the Far North Coast of NSW, approximately 3.5 hours south of Brisbane. The Anchorage is approximately 17 minutes along Iluka Road from the turnoff at the Pacific Highway. Signs will appear as Iluka is approached, turn right into Johnson’s lane then left into Marandowie Drive.

Parking Info
Car parking is available next to every cabin and most cabins have space for a boat/trailer. Extra vehicles may be parked in our visitor’s car park.
