The decor is stylish, modern and elegant, all bathrooms and kitchens are set out in granite and stainless steel, and the bedrooms and lounge rooms are decorated in rich, colours set on a soothing background.

The entire hotel has free wireless internet (iPad & iPhone capable), our rooms have both wireless and cable broadband and have 2 telephones with voicemail. All rooms have LCD TVs, iPhone dock, the 1 & 2 bedroom apartments also have a DVD and a second LCD TV in the main bedroom.

While Alto is a non-smoking hotel smokers are still catered for with a separate smoking lounge with comfortable seating that is semi enclosed and undercover for your convenience.

Breakfast is served daily (from 7 AM weekday & 7:30am on weekends) in the ground floor A Lounge. Light breakfast menu starts from $5, continental buffet is $16, and a full breakfast is $18.

Driving
From Spencer Street turn left into Bourke Street. Continue 100 meters. Park in at our door in the 5 minute Zone.
Train - Metro, Regional & Interstate + Airport Shuttle Bus
All local, metropolitan, regional & interstate trains plus airport shuttle buses stop at Southern Cross station. Make your way to the Bourke Street exit from the platform / station and Alto is just 100 meters along Bourke Street.

Melbourne - Tullamarine Airport
Tullamarine Airport is Melbourne's main international and domestic airport. Getting from Tullamarine to Alto Hotel couldn't be easier;

Limousine - Arrive in style. We can arrange to have your personal chauffeur meet you at the luggage carousel and whisk you directly to Alto Hotel. Choose from 4 seat limousines from $65. For a smaller footprint ask for the Eco limousine, luxury hybrid electric/ petrol Lexus from $90 or compact Prius from $69. Advance bookings required, please contact Alto Hotel directly once you have made your booking.

Taxi - Simply catch taxi directly outside the airport arrival lounge for approximately $55.

Skybus - Melbourne's Airport Express Bus, brings you to and from the airport at regular intervals, 24 hours a day. Bus depart from directly in front of the airport arrival lounge every 10 minutes from 7:30 am to late in the evening, and every 30-60 minutes during the night.
Skybus Costs at January 2010, adults $16 one way, $26 return. Children under 14 years $6 one way. Families of 2 adults and up to 4 children $36 one-way, $56 return.

Once you've arrived at Melbourne city centre terminal, simply walk 100 meters along Bourke Street to Alto Hotel.

Avalon Airport
Avalon Airport is Melbourne's secondary airport. Options include shuttle bus, taxi & limousine. Avalon Airport is approx 60 kilometres from Melbourne's CBD.

Taxi - Simply catch taxi directly outside the airport arrival lounge, for approximately $90.

Avalon airport transfers - Sita coaches operate a shuttle service between Avalon and Southern Cross Station. Once you've arrived at Melbourne city centre terminal, you can walk the approx 100 meters to Alto Hotel. Costs at January 2010, adults $20 one way, $36 return, Children under 14 years $10 one-way.

Limousine - A personal chauffeur can be arranged to meet you on arrival or take you in comfort for your outbound flight. Price and bookings on available on enquiry from approx $130.
