Overview
Alanvale Apartments and Motor Inn offers unique village style non smoking accommodation. The accommodation units were built in stages over six years from 1992 to 1998 in an Old English style on 2 hectares of parkland. We are located on the same site as the Archers Manor Convention Centre next to the University and Maritime College some 5km north of the city centre. Our three and a half star rated facilities include 36 self-contained apartments in one, two and three bedroom configurations as well as a 12 units (room with ensuite) motel block. Ample on-site parking is available. A family Bistro on-site offers dinner six days a week with full bar facilities open from 4pm. Continental breakfast provisions are available. We are ideally situated for touring the Tamar Valley and much of the north of the State. Spectacular attractions within 50km include wineries, lavender farms, Seaforse farm, Beaconsfield gold mine and museum, Low Head and George Town Maritime museums, wildlife sanctuaries, heritage sites and much more. We also recommend the regular Tamar River cruises from Home Point. Sporting facilities nearby include a golf course, bowls, the Mowbray Racing Centre and Aurora Stadium (AFL) is within 3km.

Getting There
We are located about 5km north of the CBD and about 18km from the airport. Transport is available by taxi or airport shuttle. If approaching from the Airport in their own vehicle, guests should turn right at the airport exit and follow the signs about 12km to Launceston. The highway into the city becomes three lanes one way along Bathurst Street. Continue along either the middle or lefthand lane. Do not make any turns and after leaving the CBD area the road becomes the East Tamar Highway (A8) and crosses the North Esk river. Proceed another 4kms from the bridge and take the right hand exit where the signs indicate Alanvale, Newnham and the University. Our property is located on the right just past the entrance to the University and Maritime College. Access is by a slip road to the left leading to Alanvale Road. Turn right at the T junction and proceed under the highway. If approaching from Devonport, follow the same directions after the Bass Highway merges with the Southern approach into Launceston.
