Only 5 minutes from the Airport and 1.5 km from the post office, Akuna is situated on the Newell Highway close to some of Dubbo's most famous tourist attractions. Getting There
By car, situated 1 km from the CBD and 1.8 kms from Western Plains Zoo (just 2 minutes) on the Newell Highway going south towards Parkes. Travelling from Sydney the Akuna can be found on the western side of the Macquarie River on the Newell Highway travelling towards Parkes, approximately 500 metres from the junctin of the Newell and Mitchell Highways.
