Getting There
Mission Beach is approximately two hours' drive from both northern Queensland cities of Cairns and Townsville.

From Cairns:

Travel south along the Bruce Highway, you will pass through Innisfail. Approximately 20 minutes after Innisfail take the turn-off to Mission Beach on the left at El Arish. Ten minutes later, after driving through rainforest, you will pass a small industrial area including a hardware store. Turn right at the sign to Wongaling Beach, Cassowary Drive. Travel along this road for 4km until you reach a shopping centre. Turn left into Wongaling Beach Road, then left again at first street on left (Coolabah Street). Travel down and turn left at second street on left (Spurwood Close). Tropical Escape is third house on the right.

From Townsville:

Travel north along the Bruce Highway to Tully. 3km after Tully turn right at the Mission Beach turn-off. Travel along until you pass Woolworths. Turn right into Wongaling Beach Road, then left again at first street on left (Coolabah Street). Travel down and turn left at second street on left (Spurwood Close). Tropical Escape is third house on right.

Transport to Tropical Escape:

If you are flying into Cairns you have a variety of choices, which include the Sun Palm Australia coach bus (does not connect to late flights). Bookings MUST be made in advance for this service.

McCaffertys (now Greyhound) also travel into Mission Beach from both Cairns and Townsville. Please ring for a complimentary transfer.

Sugarland Car Rentals also have a depot in Mission Beach and Cairns for one-way car rentals.
