Great hospitality

My daughter and I recently returned from a 7 night stay. The Mitre House is everything we wanted. I read the reviews extensively before booking and we were prepared. The Mitre House is excellent value! - First and foremost the location can't be beat. The proximity of Paddington Station and Hyde Park is very convenient. - The breakfast was fantastic and the lovely staff were a delight each morning. It was so easy to eat a full English breakfast in the hotel before heading out for the day. It is very expensive to eat in London. - The front desk staff were pleasant and responsive to any of our needs. - The restaurants in the area are very close and there is a wide variety to choose from. - The hotel is old so be prepared for this. Our room with 2 twin beds was small but we knew that going in, it didn't matter to us as we spent very little time there. We enjoyed the old charm of the building, it has a lot of character. - The elevator is slow but who cares! You are on vacation. We stayed on the 4th floor and always went down via the stairs. - The room was clean and had everything we needed - extra pillows and blankets, a hairdryer and a very good shower. This was my daughter and my first visit to London. It is very expensive to stay in London and I did my research before booking. The Westbourne Hyde Park hotel remains a great place to stay over the past 12 years. Due to its location, staff, rooms, and flexibility, I have stayed here >35 times amounting to >250 days. Never a problem and I am always treated well.

This was our 6th stay at the Lancaster Hall Hotel. We really enjoy staying here for many reasons. The hotel is conveniently located. A 10 minute walk to Paddington Station and just a few minutes from the Lancaster Gate tube station. The hotel is on the older side. However, it is clean and well maintained. The staff are great. They are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast selection is wonderful. It is a cold buffet of cereals, toast, various rolls and sweet treats, luncheon meat, cheeses, yogurts, and various types of fruit. They have added a fancy coffee maker in their breakfast room. You can also buy tasteful souveniers as well as snacks and cold drinks. Looking forward to another visit soon.

Easy place to stay . Everyone was very nice and helpful

The staff are friendly especially Alicia who is amazing and extremely helpful. Location is great, close to underground, train and bus stations, just 2-3 minutes walk. Also there are McDonald’s, Subway, KFC just around the corner.
