Holiday In Port Douglas

Are Queensland’s most beautiful natural icons calling out to you? Come to Port Douglas for open-air markets, art galleries and a long, long beach.

Not to mention the star attractions: the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest. Wanna go bushwalking? Deep sea dive? Or maybe you just want to relax and have a day at the beach? Snap up one of our Port Douglas packages to make your Port Douglas holiday happen.Things to See and DoHow about spending some time on Four Mile Beach, Port Douglas’s star attraction that’s – you guessed it – four kms long. Spread your towel on the sand and relax with palm trees swaying behind you, unspoilt headland views and no tall buildings to spoil your serenity. Here you can unwind with a long walk at sunset, or rent out a bike and go rolling along the shore.Besides the beach, there’s plenty to do in Port Douglas. Take a ride through town on the historic Bally Hooley Steam Railway. Drop into the lovely village of Kuranda to check out the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary and ride a Skyrail gondola over the lush rainforest. Pay a visit to one of Port Douglas’s art galleries, check out the sunset from Rex Smeal Park and gaze out at Four Mile Beach from the Flagstaff Hill Lookout. One absolute must-do is to grab your BFFs and take a day trip to Mossman Gorge, a slice of the Daintree just 20 minutes’ drive from Port Douglas. With its freshwater swimming holes and rivers lined with tree-covered mountains, we think you’ll agree it’s one seriously enticing piece of wilderness. But you can’t forget about the stars of the show! A scuba or snorkel tour of the Great Barrier Reef is a must-do, packed with amazing coral and all kinds of sea creatures. You can trek the Daintree solo or with a local tour guide. Zipline through the treetops, follow trails to pristine waterfalls and chill out on the peaceful Cape Tribulation beach.Shopping, Dining and NightlifeThe Port Douglas Sunday Market is a must if you want something really unique! This colourful outdoor market beneath the palm trees of Rex Smeal Park has something a difference: all stallholders have to grow or make the goods they’re selling. Luckily the locals are a creative bunch, and you can get your hands on everything from art and crafts to jewellery and fresh food. Also check out Macrossan Street, Port Douglas’s boutique shopping strip.
